Stom Painters, Inc. is a full service painting and decorating company. We have been delivering fine quality interior and exterior paint services to residential and commercial clients in Oregon's Mid-Willamette Valley communities of Albany, Corvallis and surrounding areas since 1970. We round out our services by offering specialized services of power washing buildings, gutter cleaning, and fine work like the repairing and texturizing of drywall.
We do so much more than apply a coat of paint. Before we pick up a brush, we fully prepare the interior or exterior working areas. Then we apply a good quality paint.
All this extra effort pays off because we have happy customers, and they have great looking paint jobs that will last an average of 10 years.
Painting a complete interior (ceiling, walls and woodwork) is always enjoyable. While we were preparing the interior woodwork for painting on this project, we discovered and had repaired ceiling water damage near two skylights. We used a general contractor to repair the skylights and redo the flashing which had not been installed properly.
We repaired and replaced some damaged sheetrock, taped and textured the sheetrock to match the surrounding area.
Then we continued with the repainting of the home.
Bottom Line: The painting project went very well and we have a happy customer as a result.
Right from the start, this building was a great project to do. It had two main challenges.
The first challenge was that the surface is Cedar shingle siding which had a lot of green and black mildew growing on it. We cleaned the siding of the mildew, then painted.
The second challenge was the height of the building and the uneven terrain which required the use of a 60 foot all terrain man lift.
Bottom Line: We restored this building to provide many years of service.
This historic home is in downtown Albany. Since it was build prior to 1978 we had to take special care with our preparation work part of the project due to lead paint issues.
Every member of our crew has a Lead Renovator Certification.
After the home was completely prepared, we painted the siding, gutters and downspouts with two (2) coats of Duration® paint.
Bottom Line: A very happy customer and friend.
We were asked to paint this beautiful home. While we were doing our preparation work we found several issues we addressed. We found;
• the home had never been caulked
• dry rot in the columns along the front of the house, and
• dry rot
in some of the 1 x 3 decorative vertical strips.
After these repairs we made and caulking completed, we painted it with two (2) coats of paint.
Bottom Line: Another happy customer
This is a beautiful country home which was a pleasure to paint. In our preparation work we found some repairs were needed on the rear deck. After we completed those repairs, we prepped and caulked the rest of the home, and then
painted it.
Bottom Line: A customer that is very happy, and will continue to be for many years to come.
We had some interesting and unseen challenges with this project and we partnered with Anthony Dostie Construction who was the general contractor on this project.
The height of this project was a bit over 50 feet and we had so many issues with the surfaces that we had to scaffold two sides. Using the scaffolding gave us the ability to repair damage to windows and stucco we found. At the rear of the building we had to tuck and point the whole side because of mortar decay and we even uncovered some structural issues. All repairs were completed to the customers satisfaction.
A complete coat of elastrometric primer was applied prior to two (2) coats of paint.
Bottom Line: Another happy customer.
